A Private Glimpse of Stillness
Each painting begins with a brief, luminous moment — then weeks of quiet work to make that stillness visible.
The new collection will be shown privately to subscribers before it appears anywhere else. I’d be pleased to share it with you first.

Why I Paint This Way
Still life offers a way to honor beauty that often goes unnoticed. A stoneware cup. A folded cloth. The curve of a lemon catching the light just so.
These are ordinary things, but seen with care, they reveal something deeply worthy.
My approach follows the tradition of the Dutch Golden Age, where even the most familiar objects were given full attention.
But it is not only about surface or technique. It is about presence.
Each painting begins in stillness and asks for the same in return. To stop, to look, to take the time to see what is truly there.
That exchange between painter and subject, and later between painting and viewer, is what keeps me returning to the studio. It is also what shapes each new collection, including the one I will soon share privately with subscribers.
